What is YWAM Puerto Madryn?

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is an international and inter-denominational organization made up of Christian volunteers from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and Christian traditions, all dedicated to serve Jesus Christ throughout the world. Our purpose is simply to know God and make Him known.

Our Story

The Beginning

Youth With A Mission was  founded in 1960 by Loren Cunningham, who had the vision of involving youth in missions, giving them opportunities to demonstrate the love of Christ Jesus to the world, according to his command in Matthew 28:19-20 . Today the focus remains on mobilizing youth, but we have YWAM staff of different ages (called “YWAMers”). Many of our short term missionary endeavors have turned into long-term initiatives which have touched many lives in many nations.

YWAM has a decentralized structure that inspires fresh vision and explores new ways to transform lives through various methods of communicating the message of the gospel and taking care of those in need. We encourage new and creative methods from our diverse staff. Youth With A Mission operates in over 180 countries, with 1,100 bases and 18,000 staff.

Areas of YWAM

At YWAM we help you deepen your convictions and train you to share your faith. There are a wide variety of programs with specialized training, equipping students with practical tools to communicate the love of Christ in every-day situations and prepare them for missions.

People who have an encounter with Jesus want to  tell others about Him.  The love of Christ inspires us to use creative methods so that His message is understood by any audience, young or old. We use music, art, and sports (among others) to share this message.

YWAM’s Mercy Ministries follow Jesus’ example of compassion for those in need. YWAM strives to ensure that every person enjoys their individual human rights, and makes sure to meet basic needs including: food, clean water, clothing, housing, hygiene and medical services.
